The treatment of concrete crack can be adopted in many methods, which method depends on the type of crack, width, depth and whether it affects the stability of the structure. Here are some of the common treatments:
Low-pressure grouting method for repairing cracks: suitable for the width of 0.2mm~0.3mm. The process includes crack cleaning, leakage test, preparation of grouting liquid, pressure grouting, secondary grouting and surface cleaning.
Grooving method to repair cracks: suitable for the treatment of wide cracks, by grooving the crack position, and then filling repair materials, such as polymer, polyurethane resin, etc.
Surface repair method: suitable for force stability and no impact on the bearing capacity of the structure. The usual treatment measure is to apply cement slurry or epoxy cement on the surface of the crack, or to paint the concrete surface with paint, asphalt and other anti-corrosion materials.
Structural reinforcement method: when the crack affects the stress performance of the concrete structure, the reinforcement method can be adopted to treat the concrete structure. Common methods include increasing the cross-sectional area of concrete structure, wrapping steel at the corner of the component, using prestressed method reinforcement, pasting steel plate reinforcement, adding fulcrum reinforcement and shotcrete reinforcement.
Concrete replacement: an effective method to deal with seriously damaged concrete, removing damaged concrete and replacing it with new concrete or other materials.
Electrochemical protection method: using the electrochemical effect of the applied electric field in the medium, change the environmental state of concrete or reinforced concrete, passivate the steel bar, in order to achieve the purpose of anti-corrosion.
Bionic self-healing legal: the use of microorganisms or permeable crystalline waterproof material to promote the self-repair of concrete cracks.
Chemical grouting: cracks with 0.05mm.
Reduce the internal force of the structure: by unloading or controlling the load, setting up the unloading structure, and increasing the fulcrum or support.
Structural reinforcement: adding steel bar, reinforcing plate, outsourcing reinforced concrete, external clad steel, pasting steel plate, prestressed reinforcement system and other methods.
When dealing with concrete cracks, it is necessary to determine the cause of the cracks first, and then choose the appropriate treatment method. Each method has its applicable scenarios and limitations, so it needs to be selected and adjusted according to the specific situation in practice.
